Year in Review - Grow Golf is Your Community

Grow Golf is YOUR Community

If you're reading this, consider yourself one of the Grow Golf OGs. You've subscribed, engaged, sent notes and questions my way, and continue to spread Grow Golf to your colleagues in the golf industry.

Thank you. I'm humbled.

When I started this in October, it was a passion project that allowed me to network and share interesting topics to the golf community using my experience in the marketing and golf industries.

As I think ahead to 2025, the ideas, collaborations, and partnerships are starting to roll in, and I'm so excited to bring more insight and strategies to this growing community to help make this an incredible resource for YOU.

Your Community's Engagement

For those I've connected 1 to 1 with, you know that I've worked in marketing strategy and analytics for the last 15 years (while also providing pro-bono consultation to golf non-profits and municipal golf courses). So, of course, I'll always lead with numbers and trends.

Here's a quick snapshot of the community that you're part of, and how many of you are engaging and learning from the weekly newsletters.

I'm proud to report that Grow Golf consistently outperforms industry standards:

  • Our average open rate of 75% is nearly 70% higher than the industry average of 44%
  • Our click-through rate of 13% is more than 3.5x the industry standard of 3.7%

Most Popular Editions of 2024 (October - December)

These were the top 2 emails of the Q4 2024:

  1. "Content of the Week - Holiday Creativity" (December 2024)
    • 73% open rate with an impressive 70% clicked on one of the spotlighted content

Looking Ahead to 2025

As our community continues to grow, I remain committed to bringing you actionable insights, creative marketing strategies, and valuable perspectives from golf industry leaders. From pro shop sales tactics to member activations, I'll continue focusing on content that helps you elevate your golf facility's marketing game.

SPOILER ALERT: Be on the lookout in January for a host of exciting announcements.

Thank you for making the start of Grow Golf exceptional. Here's to an even better 2025!
