#CONTENTOFTHEWEEK

With Halloween on the horizon, we've seen this golf marketing community share a bunch of Halloween event content. So let's get into some of the content that stuck out to us this week...

💯 Keeping it 100. Three Things We Loved This Week

1) Pumpkin Patch at the Club:

  • The Peninsula Club: Can't make it to the farm? Let the farm come to you! The Peninsula Club embraced this creative solution with their annual pumpkin carving and decorating celebration, which has clearly become a cherished tradition for families.
    • Why? As someone who understands the chaos of fall family schedules, I find this approach brilliant in its simplicity. Between sports practices, school events, and everything else filling up weekend calendars, coordinating a traditional pumpkin farm visit can feel like solving a puzzle. By transforming the club into a pop-up pumpkin patch, they've created a convenient way for busy families to enjoy this classic autumn activity. It's a perfect example of bringing community and seasonal fun right to where members already gather – making those precious family moments a little easier to capture amidst the autumn rush.
  • River Place Country Club: Growing up in Western New York, where Halloween often meant bundling up against the cold and snow, seeing River Place Country Club's take on a pumpkin patch in Austin, TX stopped me in my tracks.
    • Why? Leave it to Texas to reinvent the pumpkin patch by turning it into a pool party! Instead of trudging through muddy fields or climbing onto hay wagons, kids got to splash their way through a floating pumpkin patch right in the club pool. It's such a clever twist on tradition – perfectly adapted to Austin's warmer climate while adding an unexpected element of fun to the classic pumpkin-picking experience. Who needs a corn maze when you can have a pool maze of bobbing pumpkins?

2) Fall Campout:

  • Farmington Country Club: As an Eagle Scout, I love a good campout. However, to have a campout at a golf course/club with a slew of family and golf activities is exactly up my alley.
    • Why? To see Farmington put these events on for families is special. There's a lot of events at golf courses that are for golf, tennis, etc., but creating memories under the stars on the same grounds where you normally chase birdies adds a whole new dimension to club life. It breaks down the formality often associated with country clubs and creates those raw, genuine moments that kids will remember forever - roasting marshmallows by the practice green, telling stories in tents on the driving range, and strengthening family bonds in a uniquely casual setting. It's the perfect blend of outdoor adventure and club community.

3) Fall Sites & Sound:

  • Meadowbrook Country Club (St. Louis): With our social feeds awash in autumn golf photography, Meadowbrook gave us something more intimate – a thoughtful video capturing the sights and sounds of their course during the fall season.
    • Why? Though I've never walked Meadowbrook's fairways (it truly looks like a remarkable club), experiencing the rustling leaves and morning mist through the lens transported me there in a way still images never could. The video's immersive quality, creates a sensory connection that a simple carousel of photos can't match. It's these authentic moments that help us feel the soul of a golf course, even from afar.

Do us a favor? Have you spotted some incredible golf content in your travels around social media? Drop us a tag in the comments - we love discovering hidden gems through your eyes.

And hey, if your club has put together something special or hosted an event worth sharing, we're all ears! Send it our way and let's spread the good stuff together.

As always, thanks for being part of Grow Golf. We'll see you next week.
